Yes to both. Caterers get a kitchen walk-round before the day; a licensed bar needs its own licence, which most bar companies carry.
The date is held for you for one week and offered to nobody else. If we have not heard back after a week it quietly rubs out — nobody rings to pressure you.
The lane door, the hall floor and the accessible WC are level. The Reading Room is up one flight; for step-free ceremonies we set the hall instead.
Overruns bill by the half hour at the day-rate fraction, because the keeper resets the hall the same night. Book the late finish in advance if you suspect you will want it.
